Hydraulic and Pneumatic Rubber Components

There are a number of critical rubber parts found in hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power applications. Below is a partial list of these applications.

Hydraulics – Pumps, accumulators, and manifolds all utilize rubber parts in a sealing capacity. Flexan makes lip seals and various types of dynamic sealing rings for this application.

Pneumatics – Solenoids and proportional valves use rubber parts to control the flow of air. Solenoid covers, diaphragms, poppets, and valves are all manufactured by Flexan to fit this application.

Materials – Flexan has a long history of developing custom material solutions for the challenges created by corrosive fluids and extreme temperature environments. For hydraulics, Flexan uses Fluorocarbons such as Nitriles (NBR), and EPDMs to address the inherent challenges involved with brake fluids, oils, and other liquids. In Pneumatics, Fluorocarbons; EPDMs, Nitriles (NBR), and Silicones are used to deal with pressurized environments.
