General properties of some of Flexan’s proprietary formulations designed for food and water based applications are listed here:

• EPDM – Excellent overall water resistance properties, proprietary formula is NSF/ANSI 61 compliant, and chloramine resistant. Ideal for use in water resistant gaskets.
• Neoprene – Water and Hydrocarbon resistant, proprietary formula is also NSF/ANSI 61 compliant
• NBR – Proprietary formula is a white, stain resistant material that works well with food and animal products, and is FDA compliant
• Silicone – Low maintenance and long lasting water resistant material
• SBR – Good resistance to water and outdoor elements
• Fluorocarbon (Viton®, Fluorel®, etc.) – Water and hydrocarbon resistant
